On the weekend of February 8-10 I was fortunate enough to be able to go down to the southern highlands city of Goulburn for the Australian Blues Music Festival. This was my second trip to Goulburn for this event, the previous time being several years ago.

I must say that I was most impressed with every aspect of this year’s event. The venues were great, the scheduling was about as good as it could be, the musicians were brilliant … what more could one want?

Amongst the highlights were Rod Jefferey’s Beachhead (of course) and Diana Wolfe and Wolfegang. I wish I could have stayed till the Sunday night jam, but somebody needed to do my Sunday night radio show, and I hadn’t prepared anything in case I was going to be absent. 🙁
